Apple Crumble Overnight Oats

This delicious take on a classic apple crumble is sure to be just the thing to set you up for the day.

Containing all the flavours you know and love from an apple crumble, but without the refined sugar and lashings of butter, will give you  the kick start needed for any time of day. With the added benefit of being prepared the night before, there is nothing not to love about this beautifully easy recipe.

  • 60g rolled oats
  • 175ml hemp milk
  • 2tsp honey
  • 1 apple
  • 1tsp cinnamon
  • 2tsp mixed nuts

Instructions

Step 1:

To begin with peel and core the apple and place in a pan with the honey and cinnamon. Cook till the apple is broken down to an apple sauce sort of consistency.

Step 2:

Allow your apple mixture to cool, then in a pyrex jar or pot with a lid combine the apple mixture with the oats, hemp milk, and chia seeds till thoroughly combined.

Step 3:

In a frying pan toast the mixed nuts with a teeny bit more cinnamon. When they begin to take on a bit of colour remove from the pan and break up into smaller pieces.

Step 4:

Sprinkle the toasted nuts over the top of your apple and oats mixture. Place in the fridge overnight ready for a delicious breakfast in the morning.
