I picked a variety box and included this as one of the flavours. I love red velvet cake/cheesecake but I have to say, this has been my last favourite flavour I’ve tried from the skinny bakery so far. Still a good cake, just not as good as the others which I feel taste more like their dupes.

These are yummy and very moreish – the only thing I would say is that they don’t taste as sweet as the others so you can tell the cal count is low but that isn’t a bad thing! Perfect size and with an even low cal count then some means you can have a cheeky extra one!

Disappointed as I love red velvet cakes but didn’t deliver the flavour.

Nice, but the filling doesn’t compliment the sponge. But they are very low in calories, and it didn’t put me off completely.
I love beetroot so these are a firm favourite…. earthy with a sweet centre and very ‘moist’ I am always so impressed when beetroot comes up trumps in a sweet dessert 😍

These are good, but definitely not my favourite. The flavour seemed a little off in the centre.
Really like these. Moist and have a delicious sweetness. The filling is creamy and slightly sharp which offsets the sweetness of the sponge. Scrummy.

I bought these for myself and my partner, she loved them but I wasn’t too fond of them, the beetroot to me was a bit too overpowering but everyone’s different, definitely a great selection to try if you’re curious.
I’ve never tied red velvet before but these were gorgeous. Will definitely be buying again.

Delicious red velvet sponge. They were perhaps one of the least favourite of all 8 or 9 products that I ordered but nevertheless, very tasty as it is just a matter of personal preference. I will order them again for sure. At such low calories also, they are a lovely treat.

These were delicious and did taste like the real thing but probably not as light. Liked the filling and would have eaten all five at one sitting!
The sponge and filling was good and overall I gave the product a 7/10 on my fitness page as I’ve had better red velvet (I wasn’t expecting these to taste exactly the same anyway as they’re a healthier alternative). The quark centre could be different in the other cakes however like the blueberry bombs as all the fillings started to taste the same throughout the cakes and overpowered the different sponges. So either the centre could do with being a little sweeter or made differently for some of the other sponges so they taste like different cakes

Weirdly I added these to my basket just to make the order up to free shipping to give them a go. Now they are my favourite of all the ones I ordered. Surprisingly, don’t particularly care for beetroot or quark normally, but I actually found these to be more flavoursome than the others I originally picked.

One of my favourite flavour cakes is red velvet, which is why I chose this. They were so tasty and my husband even changed his mind about red velvet after trying these. Definitely will order again. A sweet treat, without so much of the guilt.

They are quite earthy and I could most definitely taste yoghurt. Read previous reviews on others being able to taste beetroot, however I didn’t find that at-all. Definitely not my favourite product but it’s not bad either .

Low calorie and tasty, a slightly earthy taste from the beetroot which I love and not too sweet. Love the fact SB use less sugar but don’t go down the route of using artificial sweeteners or added fibres in the classic range so those of us with IBS can still enjoy them!

These were my daughter’s favourite out of the subscription box, she said the cake itself is lovely but the frosting takes it to a whole different level!! She thought they were so good she wanted to make them last – sadly her dad thought they were good too and ate the ones she was saving lol! I didn’t even get to taste one myself but will definitely do so next time.
I love red velvet, but these were disappointing. If I could offer any advice for improvement I would suggest reducing the strength of the cheese taste in the “frosting”, perhaps by using less quark or something other than quark. It was too much like a strong cheesecake for me instead of a red velvet cake.
These are my faves, they taste really lovely and I don’t think the beetroot is overpowering at all. Always get a box of these when I order!

Nice cakes for a treat. Light sponge and nice filling. I found that there was a bit of a funny aftertaste from the sponge. Not one of my faves and not as nice as the choc pearls, orange cheesecake pearls and lemon pearls .
Moist sponge, quark filling took the edge off quite a sharp flavour of cake, such a good balance, very tasty
I bought these because everyone says that they cant taste the beetroot (same for the sweet potato brownies)… but for me i can taste them immediately.
I would recommend if you dont mind vege.

I was sceptical as beetroot can taste very savoury and earthy but oh my goodness these are delicious! The cake is moist and sweet. The frosting has a slight acidity to it and isn’t as soft in texture as frosting on a normal red velvet cake but it totally works. Also 5 for 169 calories is amazing. Well done Skinny Baker!!

Ive orderee these again because they are very tastey and the lower cal option. They tatse mildly similar to red velvet but without the guilt so the difference in flavour ia wortg it as they are still very yummy. The frosting in a few of them fell out which was a bit dissappointing but no big deal. Tastey, look delicious and guilt free!

I’m giving 5 stars because they are exactly as described. They are light and fluffy and I loved the cream cheese in the middle, I just personally thought the beetroot taste was too strong (but then they are beetroot pearls so what did I expect? ?).

I brought these in the 20 pick ‘n’ mix. Took a risk with these as I’m not a fan of beetroot but liked the thought of them tasting a bit like red velvet. I’m so glad I did get these as they are delicious! I couldn’t taste the beetroot but do have an odd smell. I will definitely be ordering more of these!

These are lovely. Soft sweet taste similar to red velvet, wouldn’t know it was beetroot. Frosting is delicious. These are a close second to the chocolate pearls and less calories which I love. Packaging is good for taking them out with me.

I brought these from Selfridges, really unsure of what they would taste like but needing a healthy train snack. They are honestly amazing! I know beetroot sounds like a weird taste, but they are SO good. Very rich, I can only eat 2 in one sitting.
