Product

Our cakes contain 40% fewer calories, 30% less sugar, and 60% less fat per 100g compared with leading brands. They are made with natural colours and flavours and are free from artificial sweeteners. We bake with high quality healthy ingredients including fruits and veggie purees, pure nut butters and low-fat dairy.

Our Pearls and brownies have a shelf life of 5-7 days in a cool cupboard, and up to 30 days when refrigerated. They last for 2 months when frozen from receipt. Our doughnuts are best eaten within 5 days and our cookies keep for 2 weeks in a cool cupboard. We always advise storing your cakes in the fridge or freezer from receipt during the warmer months, and if you know you won’t be consuming them all before their ambient best before dates.

Our cakes are packaged in a commercially compostable PLA tub and biodegradable card sleeve. These portioned packs are dispatched to you in a mailing box, which needs to be received or left safe as it is too large for the letter box. Please note, we do not include a physical invoice with the delivery in the event that our products are being gifted.

We publish the carbohydrate and sugar content of our products per serving and per 100g within each product page of this website. We are unable to offer advice regarding individual sugar and carbohydrate tolerances and suggest this advice be issued by a trained medical professional who is assessing your health.

The majority of our products are suitable for vegetarians and we have developed a vegan line too. Look for the dietary symbols on each product page to check requirement suitability and the Vegan sunflower mark on all of our vegan products packaging.

We pride ourselves in using the best quality ingredients and only use natural colours and flavours. Occasionally our limited edition products feature small quantities of alcohol in them, for example during the festive season and they will be labelled as such. A number of our products contain tree nuts and peanuts which can be a choking hazard for small children, so it is worth checking the ingredients list of each product before purchasing.

All of the colours and flavours used in our cakes are natural and we stick to only using natural ingredients wherever possible. From real Belgian chocolate, to 100% fruit and veg purees and pure nut butters, we use real ingredients in all of our bakes. We carefully assess our suppliers to ensure they reach a high standard of food manufacturing and processing.

You will find all allergen information in bold in the ingredients list for each product sold on our site. We have developed vegan, alternative to wheat flour and made without dairy ranges. However, as we handle gluten, egg and milk on site, you will notice that all of our products carry a ‘may contain’ warning even if the ingredient is not found in the product recipe itself. The allergens we handle on site are as follows and all of our products may contain traces of these ingredients, even if they do not feature in the ingredient list:

  • Peanuts
  • Tree Nuts
  • Cereals containing gluten
  • Milk
  • Egg
  • Soya
  • Sulphites

Delivery

We currently deliver to the whole of the UK. We are working on delivering to more locations, so stay tuned.

Due to the perishable nature of our goods, we do not recommend delivery to PO box addresses in the UK. Unfortunately we do not ship to PO/APO/FPO international addresses at present.

We deliver to most UK mainland locations on a next day basis for £4.99 and on a standard 2+ day service for £3.99. We offer free priority delivery for orders of £40 or more. For more information about exceptions, shipping charges and timeframes to highland and island addresses, click here.

You must pick your delivery date at the checkout and you may choose any future date of your choice up to 90 days in advance. We deliver Tuesday to Saturday. We do not ship or deliver on bank holidays or the days preceding them. Orders placed before 2pm are eligible for delivery the next working and orders placed after 8am are eligible for delivery the following working day or on an elected day of your choice. Delivery slots are subject to availability. We require 2-4 working days to deliver to some offshore locations which can be found here. You will receive further updates regarding your delivery window via text message or email on your elected delivery day. Deliveries can occur anytime between 7am and 7pm and unfortunately you cannot choose your delivery timeframe at present.

We require two working days notice to make changes to your delivery date, address or recipient. If you would like to change your delivery details, please contact us as soon as possible with full details of the order number, delivery postcode and requested changes. We will always try our best to accommodate last minute delivery amendments.

We advise choosing a delivery date when the recipient is likely to be home to accept your parcel. Due to the perishable nature of our goods, your order should be delivered as quickly as possible. Your parcel will be left safe or with a neighbour if no one is present to accept the delivery during your allocated delivery slot. You must nominate a safe place to leave your parcel in the event that you are out during the checkout process.

Full details on our returns policy can be found here.

After sales care

We’re sorry to hear your order has arrived damaged. Please send us as much information as possible about the problem along with photos of the damages using our contact form and we will try to resolve it quickly for you.

Our Pearls and Brownies keep for 4+ days at room temperature, 30 days chilled in the fridge below 5°c and 2 months frozen. Our Doughnuts keep for 5 days at room temperature.  Our Cookies keep for 2 weeks at room temperature. We advise storing your cakes in the fridge or freezer from receipt during the warmer months, and if you know you won’t be consuming them all before their ambient best before dates.

Our cakes are packaged in a commercially compostable PLA tub and biodegradable card sleeve. PLA tubs can biodegrade in under 12 weeks in commercial composting, which provides the perfect balance of microbes, moisture and warmth. Where there is no access to commercial food waste composting (usually your green or brown bin), used tubs should be put in general waste. Used tubs should not be placed in standard recycling bins which collect paper, plastics and metals, as those materials go to a different type of sorting facility. Our packaging is made from plants, not plastic, using lower carbon, renewable or recycled materials, and these sustainability benefits still apply no matter what happens to them after use.
